HOW IT WORKS

  • SHIPMENT SCHEDULE: Boxes are packed + shipped within the first week of the new month.

  • WHEN AND HOW DO I CUSTOMIZE MY BOX? During the last few days of the month, you will receive an email with a link to customize your box.

  • DO I HAVE TO CUSTOMIZE MY BOX?
    Nope! Don't do anything, and your box will ship as is.

  • WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO CUSTOMIZE MY BOX? The last day of the month before payment is processed.

  • WHEN IS THE PAYMENT PROCESSED? The 1st day of the new month.

Back when we had more time on our hands, we would make Cider Explorer Club videos. While we no longer make these videos, if you are thinking about becoming a Cider Explorer, check out the videos below to see what kind of cider you can expect to receive.

Full Disclosure: We no longer send fun lil monthly freebies or tasting cards. We polled the Cider Explorers and asked them: would they prefer to lose the freebies and keep the same price, or keep the freebies and have the cost of the box increase? Not once have we raised our prices.

November 2021

November’s Explorer Box features Jaws of Defeat (Nordic Raspberry Mead) and Big Farma, a collaboration with Cushwa Brewing Co.

BOOK OF NOMAD | JAWS OF DEFEAT
Meads have such a distinct history that we believe it deserves exploration. We opted for a traditional Nordic Kviek yeast and berries to kick start the fermentation. Kviek yeast is known for its fruity and honey-like flavors, complementing the wildflower honey and berries later blended in. Nordic cuisine and beverages have a long history of using herbs, roots, and spices. Pulling inspiration from history, we used similar ingredients that were available in the old world and blended them into our new world cider our traditional wild yeast fermented cider, and then canned.

SHARED UNIVERSE | BIG FARMA

BIG FARMA is a smoked peach maple bourbon smash cider we made with our new friends from Cushwa BrewingCo in MD. The inspiration came from making a completely out there yet delicious cocktail perfect for the fall season. Starting with the fall classic, peach, we added layers of complexity with bourbon and light wood-smoked flavors, finishing it off with a touch of maple syrup and fall spices. You can expect notes of fire-roasted peaches, fall spices, and mulled cider. We cannot wait for you all to experience the flavors we were able to create together.

CIDER COCKTAIL
Edward Gibbons-Brown, one of our favorite local mixologists and theater lover, has created a custom cocktail for you, Cider Explorers, using ingredients found in the common pantry.
